Bi\u00f4nica Filmes was founded in 2012 by Bianca Villar, Fernando Fraiha and Karen Castanho. Produced the series for HBO: \u201cPSI\u201d, nominated for the 2015 Emmy Awards (Best Drama Series); and the feature films: \u201cMen Are From Mars\u2026 And That\u2019s Where I\u2019m Going!\u201d (2014), by Marcus Baldini, seen by more than 1.8 million viewers and winner of the 2015 Brazilian Cinema Grand Prix (Best Comedy); \u201cReza a Lenda\u201d (2016), by Homero Olivetto, winner of the Special Jury Prize at Tallinn Black Nights 2016; and \u201cTOC \u2013 Disturbed, Obsessiva, Compulsiva\u201d (2017), by Paulinho Caruso and Teo Poppovic, selected for SXSW 2018. In 2017, Bi\u00f4nica was co-producer of the documentary \u201cDivinas Divas\u201d, by Leandra Leal, winner of the Audience Award \u2013 Global at SXSW and \u201cLa Vingan\u00e7a\u201d, by Fernando Fraiha, Brazil\/Argentina co-production, winner of the Brooklyn Film Festival’s Best New Director award. In 2018, the production company released \u201cUma Seguila\u201d, starring Tat\u00e1 Werneck and Cau\u00e3 Reymond, which was seen by more than 600,000 people in theaters. In 2019, it launched the first live action based on the stories of Turma da M\u00f4nica, by Mauricio de Sousa, \u201cTurma da M\u00f4nica \u2013 La\u00e7os\u201d, directed by Daniel Rezende, which took more than 2 million people to the cinemas. In 2021, he released \u201cOutubro\u201d, by Maria Ribeiro, a documentary about the 2018 presidential election.<\/p>

In 2021, the producer launched the sequel to the success of \u201cTurma da M\u00f4nica \u2013 Ties\u201d, \u201cTurma da M\u00f4nica \u2013 Lessons\u201d, the highest grossing of the year: 817,009 spectators.<\/p>

In 2022, he released \u201cMeu \u00c1lbum de Amores\u201d, by Rafael Gomes, a musical romantic comedy with a soundtrack signed by Arnaldo Antunes; \u201cA Viagem de Pedro\u201d, by La\u00eds Bodanzky, a Brazil\/Portugal co-production, with Cau\u00e3 Reymond, which tells the story of the return of Dom Pedro I to Portugal; \u201cCarv\u00e3o\u201d, by Carolina Markowicz, which had its world premiere at TIFF \u2013 Toronto International Festival, and soon after was exhibited at the San Sebasti\u00e1n Festival; and \u201cBem-Vinda Violeta\u201d, a Brazil\/Argentina co-production, directed by Fernando Fraiha, based on the book \u201cCordilheira\u201d, by Daniel Galera, which received the award for best film at the Austin Film Festival.<\/p>

Currently, the production company is editing the feature film \u201cToll\u201d, by director Carolina Markowicz; from the children’s series \u201cFranjinha e Milena em Busca da Ci\u00eancia\u201d for HBO\/Max and the documentary about the greatest Brazilian rock star: Rita Lee, in addition to having several projects in development, such as \u201cThe Caretaker\u201d by Fernando Fraiha and \u201cO Son of a Thousand Men\u201d. by Daniel Rezende, based on the book by Valter Hugo M\u00e3e.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
