Based on the work of Valter Hugo Mãe.
The film follows Crisóstomo (Rodrigo Santoro), a lonely fisherman who dreams of having a son. His life changes when he meets Camilo (Miguel Martines), an orphaned boy whom he decides to take in. In an attempt to escape her own pain, Isaura (Rebeca Jamir) crosses paths with the two, and soon after, Antonino (Johnny Massaro), a misunderstood young man, also connects with them. Together, the four learn the meaning of family and the purpose of sharing life.
